AbstractA rare example in which the wettability of porous coordination polymer coatings fabricated from Cu3(BTC)2•3H2O was investigated. The sample exhibited excellent superhydrophobicity and superoleophilicity. Furthermore, the superhydrophobic Cu3(BTC)2•3H2O-coated surfaces showed excellent corrosion resistance and long-term stability. These properties make this metal–organic framework (MOF) material attractive for future applications as self-cleaning and oil-absorbing materials.
