Tämän kandidaatintyön tarkoituksena on tutkia korkealujuusterästen käyttöä rakentamisessa. Lisäksi tutkitaan eroavaisuuksia korkealujuusterästen ja normaalilujuisten rakenneterästen rakentamiseen vaikuttavissa mekaanisissa ominaisuuksissa.
Työn tuloksena saatiin selville korkealujuusterästen käytön myötä saadut hyödyt sekä mahdolliset haasteet rakentamisessa.

The object of this bachelor thesis is to research the usage of high strength steels in construction. In addition, the object is to compare construction related mechanical properties between high strength steels and normal structural steels.
As a result, the thesis proofed the benefits and potential issues regarding the usage of high strength steels in construction.
