Euroopan rakenteiden suunnittelun ja rakentamisen yhtenäistäminen teräsrakenteiden suunnittelussa ja toteutuksessa on johtanut Euroopan sisäisiin yhtenäisiin suunnittelu- ja toteutusstandardeihin. Standardit ovat korvanneet aiemmin voimassa olleet ohjeet koskien teräsrakenteiden suunnittelua ja toteutusta. Näiden standardien asettamat vaatimukset ovat vaikuttaneet myös teräsrakenteiden työselostuksen laadintaan. Standardeissa annetaan ohjeet teräsrakenteiden toteutuseritelmän laatimiseen. Toteutuseritelmä on kokoelma asiakirjoja, jotka sisältävät suunnittelijan ja toteuttajan huomioon otettavat asiat projektin teräsrakenteiden osalta. Työselostus on toteutuseritelmän osa, joka sisältää määritelmiä, ohjeita ja vaatimuksia teräsrakenteiden valmistukseen ja asennukseen. Tässä kandidaatintyössä esitetään vaatimukset teräsrakenteiden työselostuksen laadintaan Eurokoodin SFS-EN 1090 ja erityisesti sen toisen osan SFS-EN 1090-2 + A1:2012, Teräs- ja alumiinirakenteiden toteutus. Osa 2: Teräsrakenteita koskevat tekniset vaatimukset mukaan.

Harmonization of structural design and construction of steel structures in Europe has led to uniform intra-European design and execution standards. Standards have replaced the previously valid instructions regarding the structural design and execution of steel structures. The requirements set by the standards have also had an impact to the specification of steel structures. The standards provide guidance for the preparation of execution specification of steel structures. The execution specification of steel structures is a collection of documents which contains matters to be taken into account — concerning the steel structures of the project — from the designer’s and builder’s point of view. The specification of steel structures is part of the execution specification which includes definitions, instructions and requirements for the manufacture and installation of steel structures. In this bachelor’s thesis is presented the requirements for the specification of steel structures according to Eurocode SFS-EN 1090 (Finnish translation), and in particular its second part SFS-EN 1090-2 + A1:2012, Execution of steel structures and aluminium structures.
