Työn tavoitteena on selvittää formula 1 -kilpa-auton turvallisuutta edistäviä tekijöitä, sekä sitä, miten näitä tekijöitä valvotaan. Tutustuminen suoritetaan hakemalla ja vertailemalla tietoa internet-lähteistä ja kirjoittamalla niistä eräänlainen tiivistelmä kandidaatintyön muotoon. Työstä löytyy tärkeimmät turvallisuustekijät sekä hieman historiaa ja kehitystä. Työtä voivat hyödyntää yleissivistävänä teoksena formula 1 -sarjasta kiinnostuneet ihmiset.

Goal of this bacherlor’s thesis is to find out safety features of a formula 1 -racing car, and how they are supervised. The study is completed by finding and comparing information from the internet-sources and writing an abstract of that. Most important safety features and a little bit of history and development can be found from this study. People who are interested of formula 1 -series can use this as a general education giving writing.
