Tutkielmassa on tavoitteena koota mahdollisimman kattava selvitys olemassa olevista pientalorakenteiden kosteuden ja lämpötilan monitorointiin soveltuvista järjestelmistä, vertailematta niitä keskenään. Toissijainen tavoite on levittää tutkielman laatimisen myötä tietoisuutta työn aiheista. Taustalla työllä on monitorointijärjestelmien kehityksen tutkiminen sekä pientalorakentamisessa lisääntyneet kosteus ja lämpö ongelmat. Työ suoritettiin karkeasti kolmessa vaiheessa: suunnittelu, aineiston keruu ja lopuksi tutkielman laatiminen. Suunnittelussa päädyttiin tutkielmarakenteeseen, jossa käydään läpi kaikki otsikon sisältämät aiheet pitämällä pääosassa monitorointijärjestelmät ja niiden esittely. Kosteus ja lämpötila sekä pientalorakenteet ovat aiheita, joiden tutkimuksella on pitkä historia ja tämän myötä laajasti aineistoa. Sen sijaan monitorointijärjestelmät osoittautuivat aiheeksi, jota on käsitelty huomattavan vähän, minkä vuoksi aineistoa löytyi lähinnä järjestelmien valmistajien internet sivuilta. Haasteista huolimatta tuloksena saatiin tavoitteet hyvin täyttävä, ja ennen kaikkea tarpeeseen tullut kokonaisuus.

The objective of this thesis was to assemble a research of existing humidity and temperature monitoring systems, as broadly as possible, without comparing them to one another. A secondary objective was to spread acknowledgement of the subjects addressed in the study. The development of modern monitoring systems along with the growth of humidity and temperature related difficulties in residential buildings formed the foundation for this thesis. The study was carried out in roughly three phases: designing of the study, gathering of materials and finally the composing of the final form. The thesis follows such a structure that handles all the subjects mentioned in the title, yet keeping the monitoring systems as the main point of the study. Humidity and temperature as well as residential buildings are all subjects that have been researched for a long time, thus making it easy to gather information about them. However, monitoring systems turned out as a subject that has little to none information written about them. Because of this, information about the monitoring systems were only found mostly on the websites of the manufacturers. Despite the challenges, the thesis manages to fulfill the objectives it was given. In addition, based on the conclusions that were made, it was indeed a necessary subject to study.
