Kandidaatintyössä tutustuttiin Oulun yliopiston uuteen Rigaku SmartLab -röntgendiffraktometriin ja sen ohjelmistoihin. Mitatun datan käsittely on aiheuttanut ongelmia tutkijoille, sillä laitteiston ohjelmistot ovat monimutkaisia käyttää. Tämän kandidaatintyön tarkoituksena oli laatia selkeät ja helposti ymmärrettävät ohjeet ohjelmistojen käyttämiseen. Näiden ohjeiden tarkoitus on tukea Oulun yliopiston tutkijoita työssään. Työssä on selvitetty lyhyesti Rigaku SmartLab -ohjelmisto ja sen käyttömahdollisuudet. Itse ohjelmistojen käyttöohjeet ovat laadittu mahdollisimman selkeiksi sekä yksikäsitteisiksi.

This bachelor’s thesis is about University of Oulu’s new Rigaku SmartLab X-ray diffraction system and its software. Processing the measuring data has caused problems for researchers, because the software is complicated to use. The purpose of this thesis is to present clear and easy-to-follow instruction manuals for the software. These instructions are meant to support the work of researchers of University of Oulu. In this thesis software of Rigaku SmartLab and its applications are presented briefly. Instruction manuals of the software are designed to be as clear and unambiguous as possible.
