Description:
Työssä tarkoituksena on tutkia prostatasyövän hoidossa prostataan asetettavien radiolähettimien antamaa paikannustietoa suhteessa kartiokeilakuviin sädehoidon lineaarikiihdyttimellä. Mittauksien perusteella Calypson asettelutarkkuudeksi x,y,z -koordinaatistossa saatiin 1,1mm ± 0,9mm, jolloin suurin mahdollinen virhe on 2mm. Suurimmaksi mahdolliseksi poikkeamaksi osoittautui 1,5mm±0,9mm. Calypsolla saavutettiin vertailukelpoinen tulos kartiokeilatomografiaan nähden. Reaaliaikainen tuumorin paikannus ja sädehoidon kohdennus Calypson avulla lisää hoidon tehokkuutta ja turvallisuutta, sillä tuumorin liikettä kyetään seuraamaan hoidon aikana.

The aim of this study was to explore the association between endurance athletes’ heart rate measured during night sleep and in the morning at rest. Two techniques were used to measure heart rate. Night-time heart rate was measured from the wrist using optical photoplethysmography and resting heart rate was measured using a chest strap sensor and electrocardiography. Correlation coefficient and p-value were used to determine the association between heart rate measured during night sleep and in the morning at rest at the individual level. At the group level, paired samples t-test was used to compare the averages of heart rate values and Bland Altman -plot to visualize the difference between measuring methods. A positive correlation was found between the heart rate measured during night sleep and in the morning at rest, but five examinees did not have a significant correlation coefficient. The measures of 12 examinees indicated statistically significant correlation, and the correlation coefficients varied in the range 0.31–0.71. There were six weak correlations (0.2–0.4), four moderate correlations (0.4–0.6) and two high correlations (0.6–0.8) in the results. High correlations were significant. Statistically significant difference (p=0.001) between the measuring methods was found at the group level. Bland Altman -method indicates the variation between the heart rate values as the night-time heart rate was 3 bpm higher than the resting heart rate on average. Correlation coefficients calculated from heart rate measurements were very individual, and therefore the dependency between night-time heart rate and resting heart rate measured in the morning cannot be generalized to a population.
