Tiivistelmä

Kandidaatintyön tavoitteena on tutkia ja vertailla kolmea eri Internet of Things -verkkoa. Työssä pyritään selvittämään ja tutkimaan verkkojen tekniset ominaisuudet, käyttökohteet ja kustannukset. Selvitysten jälkeen verkkoja verrataan keskenään ja tutkitaan niiden eroavaisuudet. Työssä käytetään hyväksi jo tehtyjä tutkimuksia liittyen mainittuihin verkkoihin ja laajaa tiedonhakua liittyen IoT-verkkoihin. Työssä pyritään saamaan tulokseksi kattava tutkimus ja vertailu kolmen eri verkon välillä. Työstä tulokseksi saatavaa vertailua voi hyödyntää verkkojen valinnassa ja vertailussa.

Comparison of Sigfox, LoRa ja NB-IoT networks

Abstract

The aim of the bachelor’s thesis is to study and compare three different Internet of Things networks. Technical properties of networks, usage and costs will be pursued to investigate and find out. After the surveys, the networks are compared and examined for these differences. Wide information retrieval and researches concerning these three IoT-networks are used in this thesis. The goal is to achieve comprehensive research and comparison between the networks. The result of the thesis should be able to be used in the selection and comparison of networks.
