Tiivistelmä

Kandintyön aiheena on hoivarobotiikka, jossa tarkoituksena on tehdä kirjallisuuskatsaus, kuinka robotiikkaa voidaan hyödyntää hoivatyössä.

Työssä käydään läpi mitä ovat hoivatyö ja robotiikka sekä näiden jälkeen mitä hoivarobotiikka on ja millaisia ongelmia hoivatyössä esiintyy ja millaisia ratkaisuja robotiikasta voi löytyä. Hoivatyössä on esimerkiksi tällä hetkellä pulaa hoitajista ja ajan puutteesta, joten näihin pyritään löytämään sopivia ratkaisuja robotiikasta. Lisäksi apukeinoja etsitään ergonomian ja kotihoidon tueksi.

Tämän jälkeen työssä on esiteltynä erilaisia esimerkkejä, millaisia robotteja on käytössä hoivakodeissa sekä kotihoidossa. Työssä perehdytään myös tarkemmin, mitä on tekoäly, koneoppiminen sekä HRI eli ihmisen ja robotin vuorovaikutus ja minkälaisia käyttökohteita sillä on.

Lopuksi työssä käydään läpi robottien hyödyt ja haitat terveyden huollossa sekä voiko robotti korvata ihmisen hoivatyössä.

Nursing robotics

Abstract

The subject of the bachelor’s thesis is nursing robotics, which aims to provide a literature review of how robotics can be used in nursing work.

Initially, the work goes through what nursing and robotics is and after what nursing robotics is and what kind of problems are there and what solutions can be found in robotics. For example, there is currently a shortage of nurses and lack of time, so suitable solutions for robotics have been sought. In addition, efforts are made to find help for ergonomics and home care.

After that, the work is presented with what kind of robots are used in nursing homes and in home care. The work also introduces what artificial intelligence, machine learning and HRI means (human-robot interaction) are and what kind of usage possibilities it has.

Finally, the benefits and disadvantages of robots in health care are discussed and how can robot replace a human in nursing work and in what situations the robot can be a better option than a human being.
